Five ways to deal with your stress

Everyone's felt stressed or may experience stress at some point in life. Stress is no good for the body. There are things you can do to help relieve that stress. It's important that you put your health first.

Here are a few things you can do to help relieve stress:

Going for a walk

Get you walking boots or shoes on and go for a relaxing walk whether you live in the countryside or a city going for a walk is simple. It's something that can help you cool down literally (if you live in the UK during the winter) a chance to get some fresh air and think without anyone around you. Sometimes you just need your own time to breathe and think.

Stretching

Stretching can help prevent any injuries before you start exercising. It can help improve your posture. It is also great for stress and can help you focus on your body. You can do some stretching 2-3 times per week. For each stretch you can hold for about 10-15 seconds. You will feel good after you stretch and it can help you feel a lot calmer. Don't forget to stretch before your workout and after your workout!

Eating better

Make sure you are eating a balance diet. Plan your meals for the week, so you eat better and have the food ready to cook. Make sure you get your three meals a day and include some fruit and vegetables. This will help improve your immune system and help you feel stronger when you feel stressed.  Make sure you get your daily fuel!

Exercising

Exercise is great for stress. It takes you away from what is stressing you out and helps improve your mood. Once you have done a bit of exercise even if it's 10 mins or an hour you will feel less stressed and more happy. Get yourself out of the house and away from any stressful situations. You can go for a run to help you feel better. Always make sure that you keep hydrated during your workout. You don't want a headache as well! Make sure you push that stress away! So get up and get moving!

Sleeping enough

It's so important that you get enough sleep to help repair you brain. Sleep is just as important as eating a balanced diet. A good amount of sleep will help you stay focused and improve your mood. You will wake up feeling more refreshed when you get the right amount of sleep. Sleep will help strengthen your immune system during those stressful times to. You should get about 8 hours sleep each night. Your mind and body need to rest to prepare you for the next day.

I hope this has helped!
Don't forget to take care of yourself during those stressful times!
