Staying fit & happy

As I love fitness I thought I would share some ways I stay fit and active. You will already know that keeping fit is so important, so don’t miss out on any!  Remember that once or twice a week of exercise is fine, but it’s more important that you get at least 30 minutes of exercise a day even if you go for a long walk that can count as a daily exercise.

 Sign up to the gym

Instead of sitting there watching TV telling yourself that you will sign up tomorrow, let's face it you'll probably forget by the morning. So why not start signing up now? All you need to do is find a local gym around your area and have money ready to pay for your gym pass.

Take your dog for a run

I know not all of you will have a dog to take out for a run, but if you do why not give it a go? Both you and your dog will get the benefit out of the run without having to take your dog out on a walk again later. Going for a run with you dog will be great if you don't mind the company while running.

Follow YouTuber's/ blogger for motivation

One thing that I have found helped me was watching YouTuber's for fitness and motivation, it's great to have such lovely healthy role models out there even if you are still one yourself.

Download motivating apps on your Smartphone/ IPad

If you have a Smartphone or device that is able to download apps why not look for a great fitness app to use for a workout or just for some small daily exercises. Well you've all got some kind of device you can download apps on, so go try it! There are many fitness apps that can be downloaded. One of my main favourite apps is the Nike+Training Club app. It is a brilliant app to use and it's helped me a lot! why not try some fitness apps out?

Be your own motivation

Having others as motivators can help you out a lot, but what I have found so helpful is to be your own motivation, you're the only one who can keep all the hard work up.  Stay fit for yourself not for others benefit, be proud, happy and don't give up! Help others want to be their own motivation, choose a sport you enjoy yourself making a start on something new. We are all unique. So don't stop! Keep going!

Hope this gave you the motivation you need!

Long walks & my top 5 fun fitness tips

Hey lovelies!

So the suns finally started to shine more in the UK bringing beautiful warm weather. As the evenings are so much lighter now I'm starting to take my small spaniels for longer walks down to the lovely river bank. A few days ago the weather was slightly warm with a fresh breeze not too hot or cold just about right! I decided to go for a long walk to make the most of this weather, well lets face it we are in the UK!  I enjoy taking them for miles, I couldn't go without a walk on these wonderful days. I took the camera to take some great shots as I love taking photos, such a lovely day that was.

Staying fit and healthy is very important, as you will already know, but you should make sure you get enough a week at least 30 minutes a day.  I know not all of you enjoy running or going down to the gym, but there are other simple enjoyable ways to stay fit that you may not have noticed before!

Here are my top 5 fun fitness tips:

Taking your dog for walks

As I have mentioned before I have always enjoyed taking my two dogs for long walks being out in the fresh air has always made me feel happy, well if I can why can't you? if you have a dog but don't walk them you could start now even if its a small walk around you village, town, city or wherever you live right now! If you don't have a dog ask a friend if you can take their dog for a walk or you can start dog walking for others. I'm sure there is someone out there who is happy for you to take their dog out.

Start horse riding

I've been riding since I was four years old I never gave up or stopped and I never will stop this sport!  I love riding especially jumping a course of  jumps,  I feel like I was born to ride horses. Now I've been riding for many years I have rode with others who have never ridden when they were younger but have started as they wanted to try a new hobby. Now I know that not all of you are interested in horses that's okay its not for everyone.  You may not know this but horse riding is great for balance, keeping a straight posture, your core and legs as you use them a lot if you ride already you know what I mean! so you can definitely strengthen those muscles by horse riding, give it a try if you like! I find that riding helps with my concentration so then I stay focused on my riding.

Find an exercise video

These are great as an alternative for those of you who don't enjoy going for a run or joining the gym. Sometimes I love to workout at home by using YouTube exercise videos. So don't worry you can still do a fun workout while staying at home, maybe you could invite your friends around so you can workout from these videos together. You all have access to YouTube don't you? so go check out some fitness videos, don't make excuses you can do it! It will be fun.

Start hoovering

Okay so you might think that's so boring I'll let someone else in the house do this job but you will be missing out on a simple way to stay fit.  I hoover it doesn't take too long.  It's not a difficult job if you do it right it will only take you like ten minutes of your day even if its hoovering your bedroom or car and you'll be helping out whoever does it for you already.  Hoovering can help you work on your upper body toning those biceps and shoulders. So do a little bit if you have the time.

Start power walking with your friends

Sometimes when I go out on these walks with my friends it can be so much more enjoyable than texting or chatting over the phone  and you both can keep fit together.  You'll keep that bond while on the go it works well so you don't have any excuses not too see your friends due to doing some exercise yourself do it with them! Go arrange it you'll have a great time catching up with your lovely friends.

I hope this have helped any of you who are struggling to find a way to stay fit.
